10 Mexican-Inspired Brunch Ideas for Mother’s Day

In my humble opinion, Día de las Madres should be celebrated all day, every day. Fortunately, since I am American with Mexican raices, I get to celebrate this beautiful day twice, on May 10 for Mexican Mother’s Day and on May 13 for American Mother’s Day. My family and friends know that as much as I love receiving presents, it is their presence during these special occasions that I cherish most. So skip the expensive gifts and brunch lines and prepare your madre something from the heart. Most importantly, always remember that there is no gift like the gift of presence!

Chilaquiles with Beef Chorizo and Spicy Chipotle Crema – classic chilaquiles with a chipotle and chorizo twist.

Enmoladas con Papa – traditional dish from Mexico with soft potato-filled tacos, doused in mole sauce.

Chilaquiles Verdes – simple chilaquiles with tangy green tomatillo salsa.
