Pineapple and Blueberry Agua Fresca

Many thanks to Dole and #WeAllGrow Latina Network for sponsoring this post; recipe and opinions are my own.

I’ve been experimenting with agua fresca flavor combinations since the first day of spring and recently discovered a lovely one that blends Dole Pineapple Tidbits and fresh blueberries for a tasty treat that’s perfect for the warm days ahead. No need to sharpen your Ginsu knife for this one because there’s absolutely no chopping involved. All you need are three simple ingredients and three minutes to blend up this refreshing concoction. Serve chilled over ice and your friends and family will surely be asking for another swig.

Ingredients
1 20-ounce can Dole Pineapple Tidbits
½ cup fresh blueberries
3 tablespoons agave syrup (or to taste)
5 cups water
Ice

Preparation

  1. Blend pineapple, blueberries, agave, and water on high for 60 seconds.
  2. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher. You may need to agitate the mixture to let the juice through; avoid pushing through the pulp to keep juice light in consistency. Discard or compost pulp.
  3. Serve over ice and garnish with pineapple tidbit and blueberries.
