Lola’s Cocina offers cooking classes and workshops that celebrate Mexican food and culture! Cooking classes offer fun and unique ways to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, girls’ and moms’ nights out, and are also great for corporate team-building. If you are interested in a one-on-one or a private group class, please email info[at]lolascocina.com. Ask about group discounts.

  • There is a four-person minimum required to hold a class and registration is confirmed when payment is received

Lola’s Mercadito Pop-Up Shop at Creek Side Gardens

Details: Lola’s Mercadito will be joining other local crafters and entrepreneurs for Creek Side Garden’s annual Fall Craft Fair. There will be specialty foods and other items from Lola’s Mercadito, handmade soaps, wood items, jewelry, garden art, stained glass, essential oils, and other goodies made by local artisans. Mastering Chiles Rellenos Workshop

Learn how to make traditional chiles rellenos with Lola’s Cocina to celebrate Mexican Independence Day and Hispanic Heritage Month!

Details: Chiles rellenos (stuffed peppers) are popular throughout Mexico and can be prepared a variety of ways. This hands-on workshop is two hours long and includes recipes, ingredients, and instruction. Students also sit and enjoy what they made in class in a fun, informal group setting. Paletas Frescas Workshop: Learn how to make Mexican popsicles with Lola Dweck of Lola’s Cocina!

In this two-hour workshop, students will:

  • Learn the secrets behind making delicious paletas without fancy popsicle molds and equipment
  • Create marbelized and multi-colored pops using fresh fruits and ingredients
  • Take home a mini paleta kit so that you can recreate these recipes at home

Private Group Cooking Class

Lola’s Cocina offers cooking classes and workshops in the Denver metro area that celebrate Mexican food and culture! Group cooking classes offer fun and unique ways to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, girls’ and moms’ nights out, and are also great for corporate team-building. Details: Individualized menu is discussed and set between the instructor and group in advance. Class is three hours long and includes recipes, ingredients, and hands-on instruction. Students also sit and enjoy what they made in class in a fun, informal learning environment. Classes are typically held on Saturdays from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. in Highlands Ranch, CO.

Cancellation Policy
While we understand that sometimes things come up that may prevent you from attending a cooking class, these classes take time to prepare on our part.

  • Cancellations 14 days or more of your scheduled class, you will a receive 50% refund and the remaining credit can be used toward a future cooking class within one year
  • Cancellations within 14 days of your scheduled class, there are no refunds but you may reschedule and attend a future cooking class within one year
  • If Lola’s Cocina cancels a cooking class, a full refund will be provided or you can reschedule and attend a future cooking class

Sugar Skulls and Spirits. 10/28: Join Lola’s Cocina for this adult-friendly sugar skull workshop while you learn the difference between mezcal and tequila, the two spirits that share a soul.

Details: Calaveras (sugar skulls) are the friendly faces that decorate altars throughout Mexico on Day of the Dead. They symbolize the spirits being honored and their individual personalities.
