Ingredients

  • 3 avocados they must be ripe!
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 limes
  • 1 ½ salt or to taste

Instructions

  • Cut avocados in half, lengthwise and remove the pits (save one). Mince garlic. A garlic press is great for this step, but a knife works just fine, too.
  • Spoon out each avocado half and add it to a bowl. Mash with a fork until it is somewhat smooth or roughly chop with a knife if you like your guacamole chunky. Mix in garlic, salt, and lime juice. Taste and adjust for salt, if necessary. Mix one more time and add pit (this helps prevent browning caused by oxidation). Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
PRO TIP: Guacamole is best made to-serve to avoid browning.
  • Serve immediately with homemade chips, tacos, or taquitos!

A Note from Lola

A NOTE ON SALT

I only use Diamond Kosher Salt when cooking, which is less salty than other salts. This means that I am able to use more, without over salting my recipes. If you use regular table salt or sea salt, please reduce the amount of salt you use and taste as you cook to avoid over salting!
