Día de los Muertos is one of the most vibrant and festive cultural traditions that my family celebrates this time of year. It is an opportunity to invoke the spirits of our loved ones who have passed by decorating altars, preparing their favorite foods, and playing music in honor of their memories. My children especially enjoy making and decorating calaveras de azucar in any form while I focus my energy on creating an ofrenda that outdoes last year’s.
